51 Kitchen & Bar: Re-opening!

On Tuesday night, Luna and I went to the grand re-opening party for 51 Kitchen & Bar with some friends and we had so much fun! The restaurant was first opened as an Italian, small-plates style menu but now features delicious “American with Southern roots” options. The best part (for Luna at least) is that they have a dog park in front of the restaurant! How cool is that? Luna got to run around and meet new pups while I could enjoy a drink and catch up with friends. The dog park’s fence has drink holders scattered around to avoid spilling, which honestly I think is genius. There were plenty of water bowls and toys for all the dogs to enjoy as well.

When it was time for dinner, we sat on the patio where we listened to live music and had delicious cocktails (I highly recommend the Rosemary G&T!) For an appetizer, we shared the Southern Cornbread & Heaven, which came with 3 divine butters. Luna seemed to like the cornbread, too! For dinner I had the 51st Polenta, which was baked polenta cakes with tomato and mozzarella. It was so yummy!

The food was so good and the atmosphere was even better at 51. The staff is super friendly and I think it’s so fun that they have a dog park where the pups can enjoy a night out too. We will definitely be back! To learn more about 51 Kitchen & Bar, you can visit their website.

The Dog Spot turns 2!

The Dog Spot is a great company in Nashville that offers doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming, as well as a huge selection of foods, treats, toys, and other dog essentials. There are 3 locations in Nashville but I usually take Luna to the West Nashville location for an occasional doggy daycare or grooming. The staff are so nice and Luna seems like she has a great time!

This Saturday, June 3rd the Dog Spot is turning 2 and is throwing a party! From 11am-4pm you can head to their West Nashville location for food trucks, giveaways, discounts, and more! Teddy’s Wagon from the Nashville Humane Association will also be there for on-site adoptions. You can find them at 5001 Alabama Avenue. Nashville, TN 37209. Luna and I will be there and we hope you will be too!
